New Focus on Extracellular Vesicles

Back to list

This Focus leaflet illustrates how extracellular vesicles (EVs), once confined to basic research, are now on the path to becoming valuable tools in clinical diagnostics. This last issue has been coordinated by Professor Françoise Dignat-George, recipient of the ISTH Esteemed Career Award 2025.

From research to clinical application

Extracellular vesicles (EVs), are a relatively recent but fast-growing field of research.

Thanks to the development of assays that measure EV quantity and activity, this emerging area is now bridging the gap between laboratory science and clinical practice.

The new leaflet offers a comprehensive overview of the scientific literature, while highlighting how EV testing can be applied in patient management. It is designed to serve as a reference for both researchers and healthcare professionals eager to integrate EVs into clinical pathways.

Nine expert contributions

Nine renowned scientists and clinicians participated in this work : Françoise Dignat-George, Romaric Lacroix, Nigel Mackman, Rienk Nieuwland, Britta Bettin, Philippe Poncelet, L. Vijaya Mohan Rao, Johannes Thaler, Carla Tripisciano, Francois Depasse and Miki Desez, Stago.

These posters complement Stago's growing collection of scientific books.

These resources will be invaluable to laboratory technicians and students, as well as biologists and clinicians who want to maintain a good level of knowledge in hemostasis.
